my very first oil painting!!

i'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, especially since i have never opened the many tubes of oil paints i possess until yesterday ~ i've been apprehensive about my oil skills, felt intimidated by them for some reason. they've ended up being more forgiving than i had anticipated :) i'm loving the use of the palette knife even more than working with brushes ~ it gives a freedom i never thought possible with paints! oh, and, believe it or not, i finished another oil painting today as well! i'm thinking of making it part of a series of four. you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see that one though :)
